Bashar Majeed, MD
Bashar Majeed, MDMedical Director of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine

Dr. Bashar Majeed serves as Medical Director of Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center, providing physician oversight for hyperbaric oxygen therapy with a focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and individualized care.

He earned his medical degree from Baghdad University Medical School and completed his Internal Medicine residency in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Majeed later pursued specialized training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, bringing extensive experience supporting healing, recovery, and patient wellness.

He has held leadership roles as Wound Care Medical Director at multiple Arizona healthcare facilities and remains actively involved in clinical research and patient-centered care. At Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center, Dr. Majeed focuses on delivering safe, professional hyperbaric therapy in a supportive clinical environment.

Julie Peters, FNP-BC
Julie Peters, FNP-BCFamily Nurse Practitioner

Julie Peters is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of healthcare experience, including extensive work in critical care nursing and advanced wound management. She specializes in patient-centered care with a strong focus on healing, recovery, and individualized treatment planning.

An Arizona native, Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Nursing–Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix. She has completed advanced training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine and holds certification through the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society. She is currently pursuing Certified Hyperbaric Technologist certification.

Julie is committed to collaborative, patient-focused care that supports both recovery and overall wellness.

Lori Bryant
Lori BryantFounder & Owner | Hyperbaric Chamber Operator (HCO) | Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

Lori Bryant is the founder and owner of Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center, where she combines over two decades of experience in health, wellness, and therapeutic care with a strong commitment to advancing hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Her vision has been to create a professional, patient-focused environment where innovative therapies support healing, recovery, and overall wellness.

A licensed massage therapist since 2000 with a background in sports massage and therapeutic bodywork, Lori brings extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and recovery-based care. She has personally experienced the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy since 2011 and has worked with hyperbaric patients since 2012, further strengthening her dedication to the field.

Lori holds certifications as a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator and maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS/AED) certification. She has completed advanced hyperbaric and therapeutic oxygen training and remains engaged in continuing education through professional organizations including the International Hyperbaric Medical Association, Hyperbaric Medicine International, and the American Massage Therapy Association.

Her focus at Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center is ensuring patients receive safe, attentive care in a professional clinical environment designed to support long-term health and wellness.

Nikki Bruggman
Nikki BruggmanFront Desk Coordinator | Hyperbaric Chamber Operator (HCO) | Licensed Esthetician

Nikki serves as Front Desk Coordinator at Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center and plays an essential role in supporting daily operations and the patient experience. In addition to managing front office coordination, she assists as a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator, helping ensure treatments run safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

She holds an active Basic Life Support (BLS/AED) certification and has completed specialized training in hyperbaric and undersea medicine, including clinical safety protocols, hyperbaric medical team training, and therapeutic oxygen systems.

Nikki’s background reflects strong attention to detail and procedural awareness, supported by additional education in applied science and technical certification programs. She is committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining a welcoming, patient-focused environment.

Marc Carpio
Marc CarpioHyperbaric Chamber Operator (HCO) | NASM-CPT | CNS

Marc Carpio is a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator at Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center with over two decades of experience in health, wellness, and performance-focused care. He brings a strong foundation in movement science, fitness, and nutrition, supporting patients with a holistic, wellness-oriented approach.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Arizona and is a certified personal trainer (NASM-CPT) and Nutrition Specialist (CNS). He maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS/AED) certification and has completed advanced training in hyperbaric medicine, including safety protocols, therapeutic oxygen systems, and clinical hyperbaric operations.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Marc is committed to patient safety, education, and creating a supportive treatment experience for a diverse patient population.

Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities, coaching athletics, and spending time with his family.

Jonathan Akpede
Jonathan AkpedeHyperbaric Chamber Operator (HCO) | Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant (CCCA)

Jonathan Akpede is a Hyperbaric Chamber Operator at Scottsdale Hyperbaric Center with a strong background in health, wellness, and patient support. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and maintains active Basic Life Support (BLS/AED) certification along with certification as a Chiropractic Clinical Assistant.

His healthcare experience includes work in physical therapy and clinical support roles, where he developed hands-on patient care skills and a commitment to safety, comfort, and professional care. Jonathan has also cross-trained as a medical assistant, further strengthening his clinical foundation.

Currently pursuing a master’s degree in health informatics, he remains dedicated to continuous learning and supporting high-quality patient care.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys soccer, music, and exploring the arts.
